About Eastern Acupuncture

Eastern Acupuncture was born from the necessity to create a special space for all people of the Tairawhiti and surrounding districts to have access and benefit from Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. 

I have always hoped to have my own space to provide an individual experience for anybody that wants to explore the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture, Tuina, Guasha, Cupping, Qigong, Cupping, Sports Therapy/Rehab. Combining these disciplines for education, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for your health and lifestyle needs. 

Having grown-up in Wairoa, working in many different vocations and areas around New Zealand; I am uniquely able to draw on various fields, experiences, studies as well as life experiences gained from the people living and working in those communities and sports codes in our multi-cultural country. 

I moved to Auckland in 2010 to Study Acupuncture, a four year Degree, Bachelors of Health Science, and Diploma in Qigong. Adding to my previous Diploma in Sports Science gained from the Waikato Institute of Technology. After Graduating the Degree and working in Auckland for a following four years mostly in a team of skilled Acupuncturists, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors. Specialising in more of a sports environment from youth athletes to elite level and professional athletes and and sports people. Netball, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Tag & Combat Sports were all areas of specialisation.

I moved to Gisborne in 2018 to be closer to family, I worked alongside another great team of practitioners at Fusion Therapy for 4 years. Following an opportunity that developed for me to move into my own premise and create my own environment for clients with. a focus on healing and rehabilitation through attention to detail collaboration of practitioner and clients, Eastern Acupunture was born.
